the Great Garden Birdwatch

It's cold out (I'm about to go out running) and small garden birds are having a hard time of it.
Our garden has ready food and (most importantly) a pond - the pond is frozen but the waterfall still runs so there's always water to drink and bathe in, even if it is freezing.
It's funny to see the little balls of feathers hopping here and there, flying down to the feeders, squabbling and feeding. But only yesterday we lost a blackbird to the neighbourhood sparrowhawk - video to follow when i can work out how to publish it.
